Fun and Easy Halloween Look With Products You Have at Home! "Creepy Old Man"

Start by taking a dark foundation, eyeliner, or a dark eye shadow and darken all imperfections on your face. I squinted my eyes and forehead and darkened lines with a dark foundation. Then I darkened under eye circles and smile lines. Basically, you do the complete opposite of what you normally do! I contoured my nose to look bigger and rounder by drawing a dark circle at the ball of my nose. Next, I highlighted (with a very light concealer) my cheekbones, the bridge of my nose, and above all of the wrinkles I created. I used a dark brown shadow to make the eyebrows thick and un-tamed looking. I added a little white shadow base to the brows to make them stick up and look "grey-ish".

I used a sponge dipped into black, brown, and grey shadow to stipple on the beard. Again, the idea of this look is to use products you have at home, so just work with what you have!

I wanted to take a shot with out the hat so you could get a better idea of where I placed the darker foundation to give my skin that "old age" look. This is a pretty simple costume look with out stage make up. I used less then 10 products that most of us have already.

Next week I plan do do a few looks using latex and prosthetics, as well as a cutsie Halloween look or two so stay tuned!!!

Beautiful "night out" make up for darker skin

For the face I used MAC Studio Sculpt SPF 15 foundation in NC44, MAC Studio Finish concealer in NC 35 (under the foundation), MAC Select Cover-up concealer in NW25 after foundation application for highlight under the eyes, A light dusting of MAC MSF in Dark only around T-zone.

For the cheeks I used MAC blush in Blunt for contour, and NARS blush in Desire.

For the eyes I used Too Faced Shadow insurance from lid to brow bone, then I used NARS shadow in Coconut Grove to define hallows of the eyes, NARS shadow in Night Breed in crease and "outer V" portion of the eye. I blended the colors together using NARS shadow duo in Portobello. I wet a MAC 226 with MAC Fix Plus and applied MAC Reflects Antique Gold pigment/glitter to the lid. I used MAC Nylon to highlight under the brow bone and highlight inner corner. I lined the bottom lash line with NARS Night Breed and used MAC Blacktrack Fluidline for waterline.  I used MAC Zoomlash mascara for top and bottom.

For the brows I used Anastasia's Brow Wiz in Brunette and set it with a medium brown shadow (sorry, I can't remember the color!)

For her lips I used a MAC lipliner in Oak, and MAC Viva Glam gloss in GaGa (the brownish one)

A Fun Carolina Panther's Make Up Look!

I thought it would be fun to create a look for our home football team in honor of football season! Although this is not a very wearable look for game day, I thought that with Halloween approaching it would be a cute and sexy look for a Panther's cheerleader! This look can be created with the colors of your favorite team.

For the eyes I used NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, MAC liner in Smolder, MAC liquid liner, MAC pigments in Teal and Vanilla, and MAC shadow in Carbon.

For the lips I used Urban Decay lip pencil in Naked, MAC lipstick in Freckle-Tone, NARS gloss in Turkish Delight.

For the face I used Maybelline FIT foundation in 310, Make Up Forever creme blush in #14, MAC blush in Blunt, MAC Pro-Longwear concealer, and Make Up Forever HD Setting Powder.

I used Red Cherry false lashes in #48

It's 12:00am here in NC, so please excuse my hair! LOL Also, because I created this look only to share with you guys then wash it right off I did not use primers. If I had I would have used Too Faced Primed and Poreless as it is my absolute favorite and probably would have used Urban Decay Primer Potion as well. Thanks for stopping by <3

A few new favorites to share!

Aveda Purifying Creme Cleanser
This is a great "morning" face wash. It's very refreshing and smells wonderful. I would not recommend using this to remove make up, as it is a light cleanser.

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara
I can't say enough about this product! The small wand allows for maximum separation and lengthening. I'm talking no more making a mess under your eyes with mascara, people. This is a MUST HAVE!

MAC "Freckle-Tone" Lipstick
This is a great "peachy nude" color. Nude lips are very "in" right now but if you are like me, I don't like to look as if I smudged concealer on my mouth and left the house. Know what nude shades work for you! This adds a hint of peach to a sexy nude lip.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Transforming Potion
This is a pretty neat product. It will turn any powder shadow into liquid. I mostly use the fine line brush end to dip into a pigment or glitter for a unique eyeliner color.

Juicy Couture Peace, Love, and Juicy Perfume
I love just about everything Juicy Couture from all of the fragrances to the handbags, jewelry, tracksuits, shoes, you name it! This is a beautiful floral fragrance. LOVE.

Aveda Volumizing  Tonic
I am always looking for the best volumizing anything! I like this spray because it adds shine, where most volumizing products tend to make my hair look dry. It smells great, too!

Lavender Fragrance Sachet
I love "clean" scents when it comes to my house, car, clothes etc. These cute little sachets hang in your closet so that clothes or whatever stay smelling fresh. I've got them hanging everywhere. I picked these up at Marshall's for nothing!

I drive in "pin curls". Judge me.

I don't know about you, but my hair is not worth a damn in the summertime! I have very straight corse hair that is uncontrollably  frizzy most of the time. (sigh) I have tried EVERY product known to woman from shine sprays to conditioning treatments with no prevail. So, this summer I have decided to say "to hell with it" and go for the "beachy look". After washing my hair I use Fredrik Fekkia mouse and then I let it air dry (my hair has been thanking me for that). When it's dry I curl large sections back away from my face with my Hot Tools 1 1/4 barrel curling iron (LOVE IT) and pin each curl in place with a bobbi-pin to cool. (I load it down with hairspray at this point)

BUT, because my hair is crap (seriously) I leave the pins in until I absolutely have to take them out, as you can see from the picture above. When I take the pins out I flip my head upside down and do the whole rocker head banging thing a few times and "Poof!" beachy waves.

**NOTE** While driving in curls or rollers be sure to wave at everyone that looks your way and smile really big. They will think you are nuts and it's just plain fun.

Summer Time "No Make Up" Make Up Look

This is my version of a "no make up" look. here are the products I used to create this easy and light make  up application!
NARS lipgloss in "Turkish Delight" and MAC lipliner in "Oak" for the lips.
For the eyes: MAC Painterly Paint Pot, Rock and Republic shadow in "Alloy", MAC shadow in "Haux" for the crease and "Shroom" for the inner corner and highlight. I used NYX jumbo eye pencil to line the waterline and finished it off with a light coat of Bad Gal Lash by Benefit. I also used Clinique's bottom lash mascara.
For the brows: Anastasia's Brow Wiz pencil in "Medium", Benefit's High Brow pencil on the highest point under the arch of the brow, and Speed Brow to set everything.
For the face: Too faced Primed and Porless bronzed primer, MAC tinted moisturizer in "Medium Plus", MAC blush in blunt for bronzer, MAC blush in "Punch o' Peach", Make Up Forever HD setting powder.
